Why the Vespids?

Back in 4th edition I collected Tau, and while many are drawn to the battle suits, I always found the auxiliary forces more interesting. Back then I only had a couple of Kroot though. So when I came back to 40K 2 Years ago and restarted the tau force it was clear that I wanted to lean in more heavily into the other Alien races of the Tau empire. Luckily Games Workshop redid the Vespids last year as Kill Team so here we are.

Painting the Aeldari Combat Patrol

Why the Aeldari?

The Aeldari always seemed interesting to me because they had a more “clean” look compared to most other 40k factions however I am not really a fan of “oldhammer” models so until the aspect warriors got their refresh earlier this year I was not super interested in their miniatures.

Well with that release wave that changed, especially the new warp spider models really worked for me

Leagues of Votann new combat patrol painted

When I finished painting the the previous combat patrol, I already preorded this one so now I am done with it. While I missed a centerpiece model, the models in here are fantastic. Especially the Einhyr hearthguard are fantastic models.
