Why the Drukhari?
A few months ago I finished the Aeldari Combat Patrol that already motivated to do more space elves. Around black friday my FLGS had a ridiculous good offer on the Realspace Raider Battleforce so I got it along with the Codex and Lady Malys (which will be her own post)

My Goals
The Drukhari are now my tenth 40k. This Box was a great start and I might grab a couple other boxes occasionally but I will only fully commit to them once they get a range refresh. Most, if not all models from this box held up pretty well in my eyes but I still prefer more modern Miniatures

The Painting Journey
For the color scheme I wanted to use some Brown, Creme and Yellow as these are colors I have not really used in as an army scheme and only for highlighting, I was playing around a bit after a kabelite warrior testmodel I quickly settled for the one you can see. All models were fun enough to paint, their armor plates hat the perfect sizes for highlighting.

My favorite details
I loved the wings of the scourges, they were super easy to paint but they do break up the overall feel for the army when looking at everything together nicely. Other than that I really did enjoy painting the Armor of any of the models the most.

Challenges & lessons
The Hellions where my least favorite part of the entire box. At least building them, the models where you had to attach the hooks to the glider without any attachement points were really annoying, Originally I planed to leave these guys in sub assemblies for painting but I quickly changed my mind while building them. I am not sure I will get another unit of these guys any time soon.

Paint recipies
Basics for all minis
Pretty much all models followed this recipy:
- All Miniatures were base coated with white scar Spray
- All Armor war painted first with aggaros Dunes
- Any ranged weapons and weapon grips were done with black templar
- Hair was done usually with either Black Templar, Wyldwood or Flesh Tearer Red
- Any cloth was painted with Ironjawz yellow.
- The entire Miniature was covered with Nuln oil, followed by a generous Drybrush with Corax white
- I did the highlights on the Armor with Morghast Bone
- Skin highlights was done with ironrach Skin
- Cloth highlights were painted with Yriel Yellow
- Any cables I painted with Sotek Green

Next Steps
As mentioned I am not sure when I will continue this army apart from Lady Malys but I will keep my eyes open for any discount box (actually I am eying a second Realspace Raiders battleforce as its such a good spread of everything, even though the Hellions will probably live a long life on my pile of shame)
