Adepta Sororitas – 2000 Points Painted Army Showcase

I’ve reached a big milestone in my Warhammer 40,000 journey — 2,000 points of Adepta Sororitas fully painted!
When 10th edition launched with the Leviathan box, I started the hobby, and since then I’ve somehow managed to collect nine different armies.
The Sisters of Battle are the first to reach a full 2,000 points, while the rest sit somewhere between 750 and 1,250 points.

Building the Army

I built this collection mostly through combo boxes — one of each major release:

  • 1x Old Combat Patrol
  • 1x Current Combat Patrol
  • 1x Army of Faith Box

Along the way, I picked up some individual kits of my favorite models like Morvenn Vahl, the Triumph of Saint Katherine, the Paragon Warsuits, and Retributors.

The Exorcist turned out to be my biggest surprise. I usually dislike painting vehicles, but this one was an absolute standout – one of my favorite models I’ve ever worked on.

Painting Reflections

The Exorcist became a turning point for me — it reminded me that vehicles can be fun to paint when the sculpt gives you enough character and story.

But overall I really enjoyed painting all units. In the beginning I had a different way to paint black armor which was fine but back when I painted Lucius for the emperors children I tried a new way and in hindsight wished I did that for alle my battle sisters. Only for the triumph Ive applied that style.

What’s Next?

Now that the core 2,000 points are complete, I’m debating what to add next.
Maybe a Castigator to add some more heavy support, or expand the penitent side of the army for more versatility in list building.

Either way, this project showed me how fun it is to see an entire force come together and how far my hobby skills have come since painting my first space marines in summer 2023.

Closing Thoughts

It will probably be a while until I paint the next unit for the sisters. I think the Leagues of Votann will be most likely the next army to reach 2.000 points painted. With the upcoming christmas battleforce I should have enough of their minis on my pile of shame to reach that.
