The new Twin Lance models are done
Introduction
I really enjoyed these models. Sometimes I feel im the only one who collects Tau for the auxillary forces as the battlesuits dont really do it for me. However these guys are just fantastic models.
Paint Recipe
- White Scar base spray
- Ultramarines Blue Contrast for all the blue armor plating.
- Black Templar for weapons and some of the lower metal parts and exhausts
- Vallejo Mecho Color Steel for silver details on the weapons and legs
- Basilicanum grey for the stones on the base
- Flesh Tearer Red for the ropes and bands
- Frostheart for the energy shield effect on the actual shield and the inner side of the flame decoration
- Averland Sunset for the flames.
- I covered everything except the flames with Nuln Oil
- I covered the flames with Carroburg Crimson
- I did a generous dry brush over the entire Miniatures with Corax white
- Next I highlighted all the Blue with Macragge Blue
- All the white I highlighted with Corax white.
- The grey bumps on the shield and Armor were done with mechanicus grey
- I used Sotek Green for the Lights on the visor
Whats next?
I still need to work on the Kroot Combat Patrol and last years christmas battleforce. The Twin lance reignited my passion for Tau so I might return to the tau soon. Overall I do like this scheme much more than my originally fully blue one. Ill consider doing all the new stuff with a more Blue and White mix. I doubt I go back to the previously done ones though.
